Powerwall 3 expansion packs – more backup for your battery

If you have a Powerwall 3, you’ll know it stores solar energy for use 24/7 and that it delivers a useable capacity of 13.5kWh. If you’re looking to increase your backup duration at a reduced cost though, you’ll be pleased to know that DC expansion packs are now available. These packs mean you can increase capacity with no need for approval from the Grid.

All your Powerwall 3 questions answered!

Since the Tesla Powerwall 3 launched,  we’ve been answering lots of questions about the battery.

What are the key features? How does it compare with Powerwall 2? How do the discharge rates differ? What impact does the built-in inverter have? Will I really be able to ‘power everything’ in my home? When is it available for install?… and lots more besides.

So, we thought we’d share this chat between our Head of Residential Sales, Dan Miszewski-Wall, and Jenna Myles. It covers the answers to your Powerwall 3 questions, and the things to know about this game-changer!

Dan’s also great at explaining AC and DC coupling, the Octopus Flux tariff, and whether he thinks power cuts could become a thing of the past with this battery.
