Keeping your fleet charged and on the move
Our Joju Charging team is working with many public sector organisations who are transitioning their fleets to either plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV), battery electric vehicles (BEVs), or a combination of the two.
Electric Benefits
Running and maintenance costs for electric vehicles are lower than for internal combustion engine vehicles. From hybrid fire engines, EV police cars and other emergency response vehicles, to councils deploying electric vans, buses and waste trucks, the estimated fuel-savings alone can run into tens of thousands of pounds every year. These are funds that can be redirected into other frontline services. On top of that, improved air quality, contribution to Net Zero targets, operational efficiencies, and investment in a sustainable future makes electrifying public sector fleets essential.
A Smooth Transition
A seamless shift to electric vehicles requires robust, reliable EV charging and an experienced team. That’s where Joju Charging excels. We’re one of the UK’s most trusted partners for fleet EV Charging. We’ve worked with over 100 Councils and public sector bodies over the past 8 years, providing infrastructure for all kinds of EVs to be charged and kept on the move. We’ve even designed and installed the first microgrid solution for a UK Police Service Fleet – Avon and Somerset Police.
Whatever your requirements, from planning to grid connection, supply and installation of EV charge points, and ongoing maintenance, we’ll be with you every step (and charge!) of the way.
Feasibility and Design
Fleet EV charge points can often be installed where the vehicles are parked when not in use. We’ll carry out a full feasibility study to determine whether sufficient capacity exists on existing electricity supplies, or whether new supplies are required.
From here, we’ll design a robust charging solution that works for your individual requirements and has the capacity to grow over time, as more of your fleet is fuelled by electricity. We can undertake grid connection applications, help apply for government funding (when available), and explore other funding options and when it comes to installation, health and safety is always at the heart of everything we do… on site and beyond.
