Battery Storage Solutions

Maximise your energy independence and reduce your costs

The benefits of battery storage

Battery storage allows you to store any excess solar energy generated, for use when you need it most. A battery can protect your building from power cuts, improve your energy resilience, and reduce your exposure to the volatility of grid prices. All this, whilst contributing to your sustainability goals. Combined with solar PV, batteries deliver maximum energy independence and help you save vital funds.

Spotlight on John Leggott

Delivering battery storage and solar at leading sixth form college, John Leggott College, is part of our multi award-winning work with North Lincolnshire Council and NLCE.

We’ve installed a 103kWh battery there, to compliment the 221 kWp Solar PV system. The system generates 177,500 kWh per annum, saves 44 tonnes of CO2 a year and the battery allows the college to use all the clean energy they produce. They also have the security of backup power and more energy independence, capturing surplus solar power for evening and overnight use.

These green technologies also allow students to monitor their impacts and learn more about clean energy. The presence of the kit doubles as a teaching resource, providing students with firsthand learning on real-world renewable energy generation and sustainability practices.

On the college physics building we’re testing Meyer Burger panels. Students study the performance difference between these and the Canadian solar panels we’ve also installed, as well as monitoring the battery impact. We've been delighted to visit the college to share our expertise too.
