Awards Season is here again
Awards season is here again and Joju Solar’s work has picked up some more nominations in 2018.
Solar Power Portal Awards
We’re delighted to have been nominated at this year’s Solar Power Portal Awards in the ‘Contractor of the Year’ category. The Solar Power Portal Awards are the highlight of the industry’s calendar and recognised as the definitive awards event. The coveted Contractor of the Year award is handed to businesses which have gone above and beyond in the clean energy space, acting in an exemplary fashion and completing their works to the highest possible standard.
This marks the fourth year running that Joju Solar have been nominated for this award reflecting our status as one of the country’s foremost installers of solar PV and battery storage projects. Let’s hope this year will be our year!
We have previously been winners in the Community Energy category in 2017 for our portfolio of projects with M&S, Energy4All and the Low Carbon Hub, and in 2015 for our large commercial rooftop installation at Norbar Torque Tools.
Community Energy England Awards
We’re equally delighted to hear that Energy4All have been nominated for a Community Energy Renewable Energy Project Award at the Community Energy England Awards for their work on the Schools Energy Cooperative.
The School’s Energy Coop has installed panels on 42 schools, totalling over 1.68MW of generation capacity, with 3 more installations planned for Autumn half-term. The Co-op was formed as a national project to enable all schools, regardless of location, to receive solar panels backed by the benefits of the community ethos. Joju Solar has been instrumental in the feasibility, design, and installation of all these sites since the Coop’s inception 4 years ago.
